shortstory #1

All it took was 35 seconds:
No whole day of useless labor.
No pointless tasks and meetings.
Most important no slow murder of small dreams that only a day on the office and do.
A morning in bed, a late lunch, an afternoon of laying on the lawn watching the clouds lazily move.
All that in 35 seconds.
All that promise gone.
Hours gone after those 35 seconds that could have saved my day and a tiny bit my soul for today.
All I can think while stuck in traffic on the way back home is why didn’t I answer when she said “Stay!”
